A quick share...

Although I'm not officially back just yet, I had to share a few shots I took of my friend and her family while they were here visiting.  If you follow my blog, I'm sure you've seen these gorgeous kids before!  For those of you waiting for a session, I'll be coming back slowly in the next week or so.  I'm ready to take on 2010 and get back behind the lens!!  Stay tuned!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe another year has gone by already!! It was a great year for us, thanks to all my beautiful clients. I'm excited to get back to work and start the new year!! (and a new blog....coming SOON!!)  In the meantime, I'm sharing some images of my family taken by the OH SO FABULOUS Amy Smith .  She is THE rockstar of all family/children photographers :)

My new distraction!!

I've been enjoying my maternity leave immensely!  I just had to pop back on here to show you my newest little bundle, and my new target for my camera!! :) I've been trying not to obsess over taking too many pictures and capturing every detail...every minute of his newborn sweetness.  It scares me how quickly it all goes by so fast...He's almost 3 weeks old now, and I find myself already trying to stop the clock.  So, I'm enjoying every minute of these precious moments!! 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Happy Fall....

I've been meaning to post these for a while now...as it seems pumpkin season is almost over.  These were taken a few weeks ago when a dear friend of mine was visiting from NYC.  She recently relocated out there with her young family.  She's quite amazing.  You can read  here   about all her musing of what city life is like with 2 young kids under 3 in a 700sq.ft. apartment....true NYC city style!!  Check her out!

A colorful bunch...

I have to admit, my favorite place to do family sessions are at my client's home!  Not only does it allow for everyone to be themselves, it's great for capturing families as they are in their everyday lives.  Nothing too posed and stagey, just pure family life.  I had a great time in this quaint, colorful home with this down to earth lovely family of four.  These girls are so adorable!

10 days and counting...

until I"m "officially" on maternity leave!  Trying to finish up my existing clients before I drop this baby!  Are we really in November already?!  

Here's a few from a FUN family!  I did their family session last year around this same time, when their little guy was only a few months old!  Time just flies...and these cuties are getting so big...and they just keep getting cuter and cuter :)  

A foggy morning...

Fog on the beach in the morning= great light for a photo session!  I had so much fun meeting this fun-loving family last weekend at Brighton State park in Santa Cruz.  I love finding new locations to shoot at!  They had their 2 beautiful dogs with them, so it was a real family event :)  Here's a little sneak peak for mom and dad....

Inside the studio....

Thank you to all that came out for Hellybee's grand opening last week!!  I'm so excited for all my new and previous clients who will now be able to experience their viewing sessions in comfort!  For those of you who couldn't make it...or live too far away ;) here is what you have to look forward to!

I love meeting new clients and photographing families for the first time...but there is something really special about my repeat clients.  I love seeing how their families have grown.  I first met this couple when they were expecting their sweet son.  Then I got to finally meet this sweet boy when he was born in January.  Now, here he is 9 months later!  There is definitely NO lack of love with this threesome!  Just being around them to share their joy gets me so excited.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my job!!  I think this sneak peak speaks for itself!!
